What if there were a way to harvest the creativity and ideas of the American public to shape America’s agenda and future?
The mission of Democracy’s Path Forward is to help the American public find its voice, name the issues it cares about, and figure out together how to solve them. We begin by supporting the public to name questions it has about the future of democracy in America, identify its top questions, then engage in dialogue to exchange information, offer solutions, define priorities, and inspire action to achieve them.
To invite and engage in dialogue about the public’s questions is a profoundly democratic act. When people start asking questions, they also start sharing what they know about themselves, their communities, this country, and the world. When people share their stories, they often discover common values and common ground, just as they also often realize there is not just one story, but that multiple stories that need to be understood to inform and shape a common vision and path forward.
